Wood fired porcelain

Tuli is my interpretation of a god of fire. It is also a study of wood firing ceramics. A study that I will most probably continue for the rest of my life.

​

The work consists of over 200 hand cut, wood fired tiles that were all laboriously wood fired 1-3 days depending on the kiln. The wood firing gives the clay and glazes unique and unpredictable outcomes and the firings are collective experiences with likeminded people working towards a common goal.
